You will gain valuable experience working with market leaders and benefit from a team culture that supports professional development while driving the organisation toward its long-term goals.\n\nRequirements for the role of Mechanical Pump and Drainage Engineer:\n\nRelevant mechanical engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).\nExperience in pump and drainage systems, including both reactive and planned maintenance.\nDemonstrable mechanical aptitude and technical ability.\nAbility to diagnose faults, problem-solve, and deliver effective solutions.\nCapable of working independently, taking responsibility, and overcoming challenges on-site.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to complete accurate service reports and logbooks.\nPhysically capable of manual work, including lifting and working in confined spaces.\nFull UK driving licence.Duties and Responsibilities:\n\nCarry out reactive repairs and emergency callouts to pumps, pumping stations, and drainage systems.\nDeliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on pumps, drainage, and associated mechanical equipment.\nInspect, test, and service a range of pumping and drainage systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.\nFault-finding, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical and electrical issues on-site.\nRoutine maintenance of valves, pipework, and drainage systems.\nCleaning, unblocking, and inspecting drainage networks.\nMaintain detailed reports, logbooks, and compliance documentation.\nWork in line with health & safety legislation and company procedures at all times.If you are interested in this or other roles within Pumps, Drainage, or Mechanical Maintenance, please do not hesitate to contact Caitlin Richards.\n\nThis is a permanent role.\n Penguin Recruitment is operating as a Recruitment Agency in respect to this position
