Mechanical Project Manager (HVAC) – Shoreditch, London

Our client is a successful and growing M+E contractor delivering design & installation projects across the UK. They specialise in commercial projects, with a strong reputation in the hotel sector.

They are now seeking a hands-on Mechanical Project Manager (HVAC) to take ownership of projects from start to finish. This role is ideal for someone confident in running projects themselves, without relying on large site teams or heavy delegation.

The Role

As Mechanical Project Manager, you will:

• Take full responsibility for HVAC project delivery, managing everything from pre-construction/estimating through to handover.
• Lead site activity directly, ensuring quality, programme, and costs are controlled.
• Liaise with HVAC subcontractors, electrical contractors, and main contractors.
• Be the main client-facing contact, ensuring expectations are met and exceeded.
• Deliver projects within the hotel and commercial sectors, often in challenging London environments.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Hands-on and self-sufficient – able to run projects with minimal delegation.
• Experienced in HVAC systems: air conditioning, ventilation, heating, pipework, sanitaryware, and drainage.
• Comfortable managing costs, procurement, and contracts.
• London project experience is highly desirable due to the added complexity of working in the capital.
• Hotel project background would be a real advantage.
• Professional, ambitious, and customer-focused with excellent communication skills.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

• HND (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering / Building Services.
• Strong track record in HVAC project management.
• Experience delivering hotel or large commercial projects in London.
• Estimating and budgeting capability.
