Mechanical Project Manager

Essex – Office-based, Hybrid, or Remote

Salary: £70,000 per annum

25 days holiday + bank holidays | Private Medical Insurance

We’re on the lookout for a Mechanical Project Manager to join a forward-thinking, rapidly growing building services provider delivering innovative solutions across the commercial and retail sectors.

What You'll Be Doing:

You’ll be managing the full lifecycle of mechanical installations, typically valued between £500,000 and £1.5 million. Projects include public health systems, ventilation, LTHW / CHW systems, and air conditioning — all with a focus on quality, efficiency, and precision.


Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee project delivery teams — including employed staff, self-employed workers, and subcontractors
  • Coordinate with commercial and procurement teams for materials and subcontractor packages
  • Manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively
  • Solve problems and provide on-site technical guidance
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard
  • Communicate clearly with all stakeholders


What We’re Looking For:


Background & Experience:

  • Trade background as a pipe fitter or plumber
  • Proven experience in a project management role within mechanical services


Skills & Attributes:

  • Exceptional organisation and time management
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly with project data and documentation
  • Confident communicator – verbal and written
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
  • Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable
  • A desire to grow, improve, and take on new challenges
