Job Description

Job Title: Mechanical Project Manager

Location: Central London

Salary: £60-70K + company vehicle/travel paid

The Role:

- Responsible for all Mechanical aspects of projects.

- Overseeing 2-3 projects at one time which generally consists of a Site Supervisor/Manager and subcontract labour. Commercial Mechanical projects up to the value of £2m (Mechanical) - Offices, Healthcare, Higher Education, Museums etc. Mainly London based.

- Responsible for effective relationship management with clients & working partners to achieve smooth operational and commercial progression of projects.

- Making sure health, safety & welfare is maintained and adhered to at project/site level.

- Managing projects from contract signature stage, through all phases until handover to the end user.

- Ensuring that all related design information is correctly and fully audited to secure overall compliance.

- Overseeing all elements of the overall commissioning process to ensure that the installations are correctly commissioned.

- Ensuring that complete and comprehensive records are collated and maintained covering all aspects of quality control, system/equipment testing, water treatment, commissioning and equipment maintenance.

- Working closely with the Quantity Surveyor for progress reports and to ensure all commercial and contractual requirements are correctly fulfilled.

- Attend on site meetings, as and when required.

- Overseeing the preparation of operation & maintenance manuals.

- Providing technical support and expertise to the internal project team.

- Managing variation costings and control with the Quantity Surveyor and main contractor.

- Responsible for handover to clients and after care.

- Role based between projects and the London office.

- Working hours: 8-5, Mon-Fri.

- Reporting to the Operations Director.

The Company:

- 20+ years experience delivering MEP projects in London and surrounding areas.

- Offices based in Central London & Surrey.

- Currently at around 90 employees.

- This company is currently at around £18m turnover per annum.

- This hire is due to the company growth. Winning more and more work.

The Ideal Candidate:

- Will have 5+ years experience working as a Mechanical Project Manager.

- Will have previous experience working with commercial projects up to the value of £2m (Mechanical).

- Will hold a Black CSCS Managers Card. SSSTS/SMSTS and HND/HNC advantageous.

- Will work well under pressure to meet deadlines.

- Will have excellent communication skills.

- Will be willing to work in London everyday.
