We're recruiting for a Packaging-focused Mechanical Project Engineer to join a Global EPC Consultancy delivering projects ranging from £250K to £40M. This hybrid role, based at Burton-on-Trent, offers a dynamic mix of mechanical design, supplier management, and full project lifecycle delivery - from feasibility through to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities of Mechanical Project Engineer



Mechanical and process design of packaging and production lines

Supplier selection, tender analysis, and cost control

Site installation, commissioning, and performance trials

Compliance with CDM, PUWER, and Machinery Directive legislationCandidate Profile for Mechanical Project Engineer Role



Background in mechanical engineering (Degree, HNC, or HND)

Experience in project engineering, design engineering, or CapEx delivery

Proficient in 2D CAD (3D CAD desirable)

Valid UK driving licence

Salary: Up to £60,000 + £5,000 car allowance

Location: Burton-on-Trent (Hybrid: 2-3 days/week in office) - easily commutable from Derby, Nottingham, Leicester, Loughborough, Tamworth, Lichfield, East and North Birmingham, Cannock, Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Uttoxeter, Swadlincote, Nuneaton, and Hinckley
