Immediate Opening: Mechanical Project Engineer (Auburn Hills, Troy, MI Area)

Responsibilities:

• Mechanical Project Engineering experience with automation equipment, automotive conveyors .
• Specific knowledge of conveyor systems (Overhead Power & Free, Inverted Power & Free, Skid Systems, Skillet Conveyors, Electrified Monorail, Friction Drive, Flat Top Conveyors).
• Proficiency in engineering calculations, equipment selection, CAD/CAM software, runoffs/prove-outs, and working with suppliers and clients.
• Ability to perform calculations including horsepower, motor sizing, structural calculations, chain pull, shaft sizing, steel calculations, and time cycle studies.
• Experience leading and supporting design and engineering teams, including project planning, scheduling, and issue resolution.

Qualifications:

• BS or AS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is a plus; equivalent experience will be strongly considered.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% (mostly local, with occasional domestic vendor/site visits).
• Authorization to work in the U.S. and ability to pass standard pre-employment checks.
