Job Description



The Job Mission



This role supports the Commissioning & Operations team on one of the UK’s most complex nuclear builds. You’ll help shape and maintain commissioning process frameworks for contractors on site. The role suits someone with mechanical understanding, process-thinking, and attention to detail.



Develop and maintain end-to-end processes from design through to handover

Ensure process compatibility with existing commissioning procedures and industry regulations

Create and update process flow diagrams and supporting technical documentation

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve process issues

Champion best practices and continuous improvement in commissioning activities

Support internal reviews, workshops, and stakeholder discussions

Use tools such as MS Visio, Excel, and Word to document clear process steps

Work with engineering teams to align process expectations across disciplines 



Qualifications



Essential Skills and Qualifications



Mechanical Engineering background

Ability to create and interpret process flow diagrams and system schematics

Experience developing or improving technical processes or procedures

Strong MS Office skills, particularly Visio and Excel

Good analytical and structured problem-solving ability✔️ Desired Skills



Experience in highly regulated environments

Familiarity with project risk and quality control principles

Understanding of CDM or Health & Safety frameworks

Basic commercial or contractual awareness

Knowledge of engineering assurance and compliance practices
