About the Role:\n We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team and play a key role in keeping our equipment running safely, efficiently, and reliably. From fork lift trucks and cranes to trailers, portable generators, Manitou Rotary Telehandlers, and Charlatte tow trucks, you'll ensure our diverse fleet of machinery is maintained to the highest standards. \nYou'll work both independently and as part of a close-knit team, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, repairs, and testing on mechanical systems, plant, and machinery.

With a strong understanding of KPIs, you'll ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and to professional standards. \nWhat You'll Be Doing:\n\nConducting planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of mechanical equipment.\n\nFault finding, diagnosing, and repairing machinery including fork lift trucks, cranes, and plant machinery.\n\nProducing clear, detailed reports to support maintenance work.\n\nWorking safely with technical specifications and following safe systems of work.\n\nCommunicating progress, issues, and updates effectively with your Team Leader.\n\nParticipating in a rostered on-call team for out-of-hours support as required.\nWhat You'll Bring:\n\nA strong background in mechanical engineering, either through a mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience.\n\nIndustry-recognised qualifications or working towards them, e.g., NVQ or City & Guilds.\n\nProficiency with hand tools and mechanical equipment, with confidence in fault finding and rectification.\n\nExperience working to KPIs and managing tasks efficiently via mobile applications or digital systems.\n\nStrong understanding of safe systems of work and health & safety practices.\n\nExcellent communication and customer interaction skills, with a professional, adaptable approach.\nWhat We Offer:\n\nCompetitive salary\n\n25 days holiday plus bank holidays\n\nEnhanced pension scheme\n\nLife assurance\n\nAccess to internal benefits and discount programmes\n\nCycle to work scheme\n\nGroup income protection\n\nFlexible parental benefits (if applicable)\n\nEmployee assistance programme\n\nContinued professional development opportunities\n\nRecognition through internal achievements scheme\n\nOccupational health and wellbeing support\n\n50% off entry to the Historic Dockyard\nIf you're passionate about mechanical maintenance, enjoy a varied and hands-on role, and want to be part of a supportive, professional team, we'd love to hear from you. \nApply today to join our team
