Pay rate: £21.98 per hour, Umbrella rates available on request.



Location: Sizewell, Leiston



Hours of work: 37 hours per week, 5 days on site.



Our client, a leader in Nuclear requires a Mechanical Maintenance Technician at their site in Sizewell, Leiston to join their maintenance team. This hands-on role involves the inspection, repair, and maintenance of mechanical systems, with a strong focus on pumps, valves, and general mechanical equipment across our facility.



Applicants should be able to demonstrate of the following skills/experience:



Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

Strong knowledge of pump and valve systems.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering ().

Good problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.

Willingness to work shifts or be on-call as required.Role information:



Perform routine and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems including pumps, valves, gearboxes, and rotating equipment.

Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to minimize downtime.

Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance in line with schedules.

Collaborate with other technicians and departments to ensure smooth operations.

Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.

Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards at all times.
