\n An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading FM service provider based in Teddington, South West London. We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a static, site-based role within a large and prestigious commercial building.\n
\n
\n The successful candidate will be a fully qualified Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, holding a City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 qualification, with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance.\n
\n
\n You will be responsible for carrying out mechanically-biased M&E and fabric planned and reactive maintenance as part of a close-knit team of three engineers, working alongside an on-site supervisor. You will be responsible for all landlord services across the building and will be required to demonstrate hands-on knowledge and experience of the following:\n

Duties\n
\n
\n

\n
• HVAC plant and plant room maintenance

\n

• Air conditioning — air handling units and fan coil units (filter changes and cleaning)

\n

• Chillers — monitoring and resets

\n

• Pumps, motors and cooling tower maintenance

\n

• Water treatment — temperature checks (non-dosing)

\n

• Lighting — small installations, fault-finding, lamping, ballast changes, control panels and power distribution

\n

• Emergency lighting testing and certification

\n

• Fire alarm testing

\n

• UPS systems — monitoring and taking readings

\n

• Pressurisation units

\n

• BMS — monitoring hot and cold systems

\n

• Plumbing — unblocking toilets, changing taps, seals, etc.

\n

• General building fabric maintenance

\n

• Escorting and overseeing sub-contractors

\n

Hours of Work\n
\n
\n

\n
• Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00 (40-hour week)

\n

• One week in 7, working a 10:00–19:00 shift

\n

• On-call: 1 in 4 rota

\n

• Basic salary up to £45,000 per annum

\n

• On-call allowance of an additional £5,000 per annum (1 in 4 rota)

\n

• 25 days annual leave + bank holidays

• Mechanically / plumbing qualified — C&G / NVQ Level 2 (minimum)

• Copies of all trade certificates will be required upon application

• Proven track record in commercial or property maintenance

\n

• Strong customer service and communication skills
