Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in Stevenage

We’re hiring for a Mechanical Engineer to join the engineering team on a large, high-profile science and research campus in Stevenage.\n\nThe Mechanical Engineer will support the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical building services systems within a technical environment. The Mechanical Engineer will work as part of a multi-skilled team, ensuring all plant and equipment operates safely and efficiently.\n\nResponsibilities for a Mechanical Engineer\n\n * Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs\n\n * Working on mechanical plant including AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors, valves and HVAC systems\n\n * Supporting heating, cooling and ventilation systems across the site\n\n * Fault finding and carrying out first-line repairs on building services plant\n\n * Ensuring plant rooms are maintained to a high standard\n\n * Completing all works in line with health & safety and compliance requirements\n\nRequirements\n\n * Experience working as a Mechanical Engineer within building services or FM\n\n * Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical plant\n\n * Mechanical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent)\n\n * Experience working within commercial, industrial or technical environments\n\n * Good understanding of health & safety procedures\n\nWhat’s On Offer for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer\n\n * Working within a large, technically advanced site in Stevenage\n\n * Plenty of overtime if sought after\n\n * Long-term career progression within a global facilities management provider
