Job Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality mechanical maintenance across production equipment to consistently meet factory performance targets
Carry out mechanical setup, changeovers, and production support
Diagnose and repair mechanical breakdowns quickly and effectively
Perform planned preventive maintenance to minimise downtime
Support with fabrication, machining, and installation of plant and machinery
Respond to first-line issues across boilers, chillers, air compressors, and wider site utilities
Work safely at all times, following site standards and contributing to a strong safety culture
Use stores systems and Maintenance Management Systems accurately
Contribute to continuous improvement and reliability initiatives across the site
Provide occasional support to electrical tasks when required (within competency) 
Skills and Experience

Recognised mechanical apprenticeship (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent)
Strong experience working on production and process equipment in a factory environment
Solid mechanical diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Machining and/or welding skills
Experience with boilers, chillers, compressors, and utility systems
Good understanding of planned and reactive maintenance in a fast-moving environment
Computer literacy for stores systems and Maintenance Management Systems
Water treatment and boiler testing experience (desirable)
Electrical competency beneficial but not essential 
Pay and Benefits

Salary: £44,000 per annum, plus overtime
Outstanding pension scheme — you contribute 4%, the company contributes 10%
Annual tool allowance (£263)
5 hours per week: Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:30
30 days holiday per year plus 13 additional Fridays off per year (1 per month plus 1 more)
