Our client is looking to recruit two experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineers to join their engineering team in Basildon, Essex.You'll play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the site's mechanical and plumbing services by carrying out both planned preventative and reactive maintenance across a wide range of plant and equipment.Working within a fast-paced maintenance environment, you'll help maintain critical building services, minimise downtime, and ensure all systems operate safely, efficiently, and in line with health and safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical plant and building services equipmentRespond to mechanical breakdowns, fault finding, and reactive repairsMaintain and repair pumps, motors, valves, pipework, and associated mechanical systemsCarry out plumbing maintenance, including repairs to pipework, sanitaryware, taps, toilets, drainage systems, and water servicesService and maintain HVAC systems, heating systems, ventilation equipment, and associated plantComplete repairs, minor installations, and mechanical improvement worksDiagnose equipment faults and implement effective engineering solutionsMaintain accurate maintenance records using the site's maintenance management system (CMMS)Assist with contractor supervision and ensure all work is completed safely and to the required standardEnsure full compliance with health & safety procedures and company policiesSupport the continuous improvement and reliability of all site mechanical infrastructureRequirementsLevel 2/3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing, Building Services, or a related disciplinePrevious experience working within a maintenance engineering or facilities maintenance environmentExperience maintaining mechanical plant, plumbing systems, and building services equipmentStrong fault-finding, problem-solving, and reactive maintenance skillsKnowledge of pumps, pipework, HVAC systems, valves, and water services would be advantageousRight to work in the UKWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary of £45,000 £50,000 per annumMonday to Friday rotating shift patternExcellent opportunity to join a well-established engineering teamOngoing training, development, and career progression opportunitiesStable, long-term position with a reputable employerIf you live in and around Basildon, Billericay, Wickford, Rayleigh, Brentwood, Chelmsford, Benfleet, Canvey Island, Stanford-le-Hope, Grays, Southend-on-Sea, Romford, or the surrounding areas , this could be the role for you.Ready to take the next step in your career?Apply today and help us shape the future!TPBN1_UKTJ
