Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanical Engineer to join a market-leading international manufacturing organisation based near the area of Hastings. Hours of work - Days and Nights, 6am-6pm, 6pm-6am, 4 days on, 4 off, 4 nights on, 4 off shift pattern

Roles and Responsibilities of the Maintenance Mechanical Engineer:



Responsible for plant-wide proactive and reactive mechanical maintenance to ensure optimum performance of all equipment



Work with the Engineering team to ensure delivery of Company, Factory and Team plans



Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance, inspections, servicing, and mechanical repairs



Respond to and resolve breakdowns and mechanical issues quickly to minimise downtime



Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to equipment reliability strategies

To Be Successful:



You will need to hold one of the following qualifications to be considered: City and Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3 and BTEC (Apprenticeship) in Mechanical Engineering



Strong mechanical background with proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial environment



Experience in both planned and reactive mechanical maintenance



Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, pumps, gearboxes, belts, and chains is highly desirable



Basic understanding of electrical fault finding and PLCs would be an advantage but is not essential
