CBW is currently recruiting for a Mechanically qualified Building Services Engineer to work in house at a flagship historical venue in South West London. The ideal candidate will carry out daily plant room checks whilst helping to maintain the buildings mechanical services and support the maintenance of electrical services. This position would be ideal for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer currently in a similar position. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of £53,400. This will be working client direct for one of the most attractive, growing businesses in the UK building services industry.



Technical duties will include:



Monitor mechanical plant

Pumps, Motors, Seals, Bearings

Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)

Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)

General building fabric

Escort specialist sub contractors

Undertake repairs to HVAC Plant and Associated Systems to a high standard.

Undertake installation, alteration and repairs to pipework systems as needed.

Undertake all allocated tasks and perform them in a timely and professional manner.

Be proactive in identifying and reporting faults with building services equipment and take steps to resolve them.

Be proactive to ensure all H&S issues are reported/escalated as required.

Maintain informal communications with Client staff members related to service levels and issues.

Report service affecting issued to the site management team for formal communication with the client.

Remain flexible with regard to site attendance and tasks undertaken within personal competency.

Be fully aware of relevant Health and Safety and general legislative matters. 

Working hours:



4 on, 4 off (2 earlies, 2 lates, 4off then repeat)

07:00-17:30 (earlies), 16:00-02:00 (lates)

Cab home on late shift (must live within M25)

£53,400 salary

22 shift days holiday

  Requirements:



Experience working in commercial building services

Mechanically qualified 

City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent

Apprentice trained - Desired not essential

Able to work the hours advertised
