Rate: Negotiable (circa £26.00 - £27.00 per hour)

Job Description:

LRL are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter with a valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence for a short-term machinery relocation project at GXO in Northampton. The role involves working within a specialised team to assist in the mechanical disassembly, transport, and reassembly of industrial packing equipment.



Key Responsibilities:



Assist in the mechanical dismantling of packing machinery



Operate FLT to support equipment movement within the facility



Support the safe transport, offload, and positioning of machinery at a secondary site



Collaborate with riggers, lifting teams, and supervisors to ensure smooth, efficient operations



Conduct work in line with site safety requirements and project specifications



Requirements:



Valid CCNSG Safety Passport (Essential)



Valid FLT Licence (Essential)



Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter in an industrial or manufacturing setting



Comfortable working in a fast-paced, short-term project environment



Strong teamwork and communication skills
