Job Description

Our client, a leading water sector specialist are seeking Mechanical Fitters to work in the water industry. Ideally candidates will have previous water sector experience. But the client will consider candidates with a relevant industrial background and relevant experience working on plant equipment/assets. \n\nSponsorship cannot be offered for this role, applicants must have full RTW in the UK. \n\nThis is a van based role, primarily based in the East Midlands.\n\nPackage Details\n \n£16.50p/hour \nRole is paid door-door \nAdditional uplift for working away from home \nOT available, paid at x1.5 up to Saturday noon.

paid at x2 thereafter \nVan provided \nSite hours 7-3, salary based on a 40 hour working week \nCall out is required as part of this role Responsibilities:\n \nInstall and maintain mechanical equipment, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves and bearings. \nFit and install steel support systems as needed. \nTroubleshoot and perform fault-finding on mechanical equipment.

\nAssist electricians or civil engineers with tasks as required. \nEnsure compliance with all Health and Safety procedures and company policies, including following Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments on-site. \nUnderstand and sign all CPP/RAMS documentation before starting work on-site.

\nAlways prioritize safety, keeping both personal and team safety in mind. \nManage and take responsibility for the use and upkeep of a company van. \nBe prepared for occasional travel away from home.

\nPerform other general mechanical duties as assigned.   \n Candidate:\n \nAs this role is working on water treatment sites, ideally you will have relevant experience of sewage treatment plants, pumping stations, clean water sites. \nCandidates must be competent with remedial/servicing work on heavy plant machinery and mechanical assets.

Including but not limited to: gearboxes, motors, pumps, valves, bearings. \nFormal Mechanical Qualifications or recognised apprenticeship. \nCSCS Card (Essential) \nUK Driving Licence (Essential) \nConfined Space (Desiredl) \nFirst Aid Trained (Desired) \nEUSR Water Hygiene (Desired)
