Mechanical Fitter in Norwich

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a well-established engineering team on a long-term contract near Norwich. The successful candidate will be responsible for the decommissioning, repair and assembly of mechanical systems and assemblies in a large scale industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble and fit mechanical components according to engineering drawings and specifications
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on machinery and equipment
Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently
Ensure all work is completed to high standards and complies with health and safety regulations
Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure smooth operations
Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter in an industrial or manufacturing setting
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering ()
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Own tools (desirable but not essential)
