Position: Mechanical Fitter
Location: Nailsworth
Salary: £35000 plus £3000 bonus (OTE circa £50000)
Working hours: 7:30 till 4:30 Monday to Friday and 7:30 to 02:00 pm on Fridays
Benefits: pension, up to 31 days of holidays per annum, overtimes paid at time and a half rate (max overtimes allowed per week is 16 hours), free parking, £70.00 paid monthly to buy tools
We are now seeking to recruit Mechanical Fitter to work for a busy manufacturing company based in Nailsworth. The appropriate mechanical fitter will have previous pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge.
Responsibilities of mechanical fitter:
Complete engineering duties for sub-assembly production fitting and final assembly
Assemble mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic components and sub-assemblies as required
Assist with the production and build of fabricated assemblies of varying size and complexity from scratch using general skills including marking out, cutting, folding, pipe bending, weld joint preparation, hydraulic runs, pneumatic runs and general production build assemblies.
Requirements:
Working from manufacturing drawings, general arrangement drawings and sub-assembly drawings
A keen eye for detail and teamwork are two key elements in this role.
Using a variety of hand and power tools to assemble a wide variety of large and small fabricated components
Check the complete assembly for alignment, dimensions and quality
Ability to work on own initiative with a good Problem solving and a logical mind.
Circuitry knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and electrics
