Mechanical Fitter (MIG Welding)
£32,000 - £35,000 + Overtime + Training + Progression + Benefits
Burton-Upon-Trent
Are you a Mechanical Fitter or similar with a background in Welding? Are you looking to join a one of the largest engineering groups across the globe, who offer massive investment in training or qualifications and the opportunity to progress into field-based engineering?
On offer is the opportunity to join a manufacturer that was founded over 25 years ago, who have built their reputation on their excellent training and development. They supply their turnkey compressed air solutions from SMEs to blue chip clients, with an expanding product range coming soon. They have recently joined one of the largest Air Compressor manufacturing groups in the world.
In this varied role, you will start off as a workshop-based Mechanical Fitter and you will be responsible for MIG welding alongside building and assembling their full range of equipment including Absorption / Desiccant Dryers, Nitrogen / Oxygen Generators and Air Compressors. You will also receive training on installation / service works so that you can develop into a Service Technician with occasional site visits.
This role would suit a Mechanical Fitter or similar with a background in MIG Welding, who wants to join a growing business that will provide comprehensive onboarding and additional training alongside mentorship, the opportunity to progress and the ability to boost earnings with overtime in the future.
The Role:

- MIG Welding and Assembly of compressors, pipework, driers, and refrigeration units
- Service, Maintenance, and Installation training given
- Workshop based, progression to Field-based
- Overtime paid at 1.5x
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5pm, 40 hours a week
