We are currently recruiting experienced Mechanical Fitters for machine-building projects in the Leeds area.



This is not a basic assembly role — we’re looking for skilled fitters capable of interpreting drawings, fitting and adjusting components, and carrying out precision mechanical build work on complex machinery. You’ll be working as part of a team responsible for the mechanical construction and alignment of bespoke machines and production equipment.



Key Responsibilities:



* Build and fit mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies from engineering drawings and schematics



* Adjust, align, and fit components to ensure correct operation and tolerances



* Use hand and power tools to carry out fitting, drilling, and minor modifications as needed



* Work to close tolerances in a workshop or site-based environment



* Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve build or fit-up issues



* Ensure all work is carried out safely and to specification



Requirements:



* Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter (machine building, special purpose machinery, or similar)



* Ability to read and interpret detailed mechanical drawings



* Strong mechanical fitting, alignment, and problem-solving skills



* Own tools and PPE



* CSCS or equivalent card desirable



* Able to work independently and as part of a team
