Mechanical Fitter

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical / Marine Fitter to join our team on a contracting basis. The role will involve working on a variety of mechanical systems, equipment, and components within a marine/defence environment.



Key Responsibilities:



Carry out fitting, assembly, maintenance, and repair of marine/mechanical systems.



Work from engineering drawings, technical manuals, and specifications.



Undertake fault finding and diagnostics on a range of mechanical equipment.



Ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.



Support testing and commissioning activities where required.



Comply with all site safety, security, and quality procedures.



Requirements:



SC Clearance (active) - essential.



Proven experience as a Mechanical or Marine Fitter, ideally within a defence or shipbuilding environment.



Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.



Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and associated equipment.



Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.



Contract Details:



6-month initial contract (possible extension).



£32 per hour CIS.
