Mechanical Fitter – Machine Building (Not Just Assembly!)



Leeds, West Yorkshire (commutable from Bradford, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Halifax, etc.)

4-Day Week – Monday to Thursday

£38,000pa + Paid Overtime & Additional Allowances



The Role:



Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter with a passion for precision engineering? This isn’t just a parts assembly job – you’ll be building complex bespoke machines where your mechanical expertise really matters.



You’ll play a key role in creating machines that rely on precise tolerances, perfect fit, correct clearances, proper lubrication and fine adjustments to run reliably for years.



What You’ll Do:



* Build and fit bespoke machinery from the ground up – not just bolt parts together



* Work with bearings, bushes, shafts, gears, pneumatics, and moving parts



* Read and interpret complex mechanical drawings and specifications



* Take pride in delivering builds to the highest standards of quality and reliability

* Proven experience building complete machines, not just sub-assemblies



* Strong practical knowledge of mechanical principles, fits and tolerances



* Confident in using and interpreting engineering drawings



* Quality-focused with a “right first time” mindset
