We're seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead the design and analysis of HVAC and fire protection systems for commercial and MEP projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze HVAC systems, energy modeling, and fire protection systems for commercial and MEP projects.
- Prepare detailed construction drawings and plans using Revit and AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide cost estimates and conduct technical analysis to support project proposals and budgeting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems into building designs.
- Apply LEED principles to optimize energy efficiency and sustainable building practices.
- Conduct on-site inspections and evaluations to verify design implementation and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and client specifications.
- Stay current with industry trends, codes, and best practices to continuously enhance project outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- New York Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- 5+ years of experience in HVAC design, fire protection, and energy modeling for commercial or MEP projects.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for creating detailed designs and plans.
- Strong knowledge of LEED principles and sustainable building practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on technical accuracy.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage client relationships and project teams.
- Experience in cost estimating and technical analysis for construction projects.
