Mechanical Instructor – Fluid Power (Hydraulics & Pneumatics) – Gloucester


Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical Technician or Fluid Power Engineer ready to take the next step in your career?


Do you want to share your hands-on skills while moving off the tools and into a rewarding training role? If so, this could be your perfect opportunity.


We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Instructor with practical experience in pneumatics, hydraulics or fluid power systems to deliver engaging training to apprentices on Level 2 & 3 Fluid Power programmes.

  • Hands-on teaching with standalone pneumatic rigs and real-world circuit fault finding.
  • Full support to gain your Level 3 Training and Level 3 Assessing qualifications within 12 months – no prior teaching experience required.
  • Opportunity to step up from roles such as Mechanical Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Engineering Technician, Hydraulic Engineer, Pneumatics Engineer, Field Service Engineer, Mechanical Fitter, or Industrial Maintenance Technician into a training career.



Salary & Benefits:

  • Starting salary £34,090, rising to £38,042 once fully qualified.
  • Early finish on Fridays
  • 36.75 hour week. Monday-Friday (No shift, overtime or weekends ever required)
  • 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays + 1 extra day for your birthday.



What we are looking for:

  • Strong hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, fluid power systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Passion for mentoring and sharing your technical knowledge.
  • Safety-conscious and committed to high-quality training delivery.


Location: Gloucester – full-time, on-site.
