Mechanical Engineering Drafter/Modeler

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Mechanical Engineering Drafter/Modeler to join our team. In this role, you will create precise technical drawings, 3D models, and documentation to support engineering projects. Your work will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and success of designs for the manufacturing of both new and existing product lines.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed technical drawings and 3D models using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit).
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to interpret design concepts and specifications.
  • Revise and update drawings based on feedback, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Maintain organized records of drawings, models, and revisions for easy access and reference.
  • Perform calculations and measurements to ensure accuracy and feasibility of designs.
  • Assist in preparing documentation, including material lists, assembly instructions, and project reports.
  • Stay updated on advancements in drafting tools, techniques, and industry trends.


Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in drafting, 3D modeling, engineering technology or at least 5 years of professional experience in mechanical or industrial equipment design, drafting or modeling or at least 5 years of combined experience in industrial manufacturing, fabrication or welding with a proficient understanding of 3D modeling software and tools
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, technical standards, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce highly accurate work.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


Skills

  • Familiarity for materials, tolerances, and fabrication methods including applicable experience in industrial manufacturing, fabrication, and welding processes
  • Candidates with added electrical design or computer programming experience form the major responsibilities.
