Job DescriptionJob DescriptionMulti-state architectural and engineering firm is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to join their Rochester, Minnesota team!

Responsibilities:

• HVAC engineering design responsibilities (calculating heating/cooling loads, select equipment, layout duct/piping, create/edit project details and write/edit project engineering specifications)
  
• Plumbing systems design (calculating capacities/loads, laying/piping systems and details and editing project specifications)
  
• Participate in design review meetings/workshops
  
• Use technical expertise to research/resolve design issues
  
• Assure drawings/designs meet QA/QC design standards and local codes
  
• Coordinate with architectural/engineering disciplines
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineer or Architectural Engineering
  
• 6+ years of consulting engineering experience with an emphasis on HVAC/plumbing design
  
• Experience working on healthcare, laboratory, commercial, municipal, institutional and government facilities projects
  
• PE License
  
• Knowledge of building controls preferred
  
• Experience with Revit, Trane/Trace, IES and Microsoft Office
  

Salary is commensurate with experience.
