The Mechanical Engineer will play a key role in the development of a new medium-duty vehicle platform focused on clean, efficient, and intelligent transportation. This position supports vehicle structural, chassis, and mechanical subsystem development across the full product lifecycle from concept through production.
The ideal candidate brings strong CAD design expertise, a solid understanding of vehicle manufacturing and assembly processes, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities

Design and develop vehicle structures, chassis systems, and mechanical subsystems

Create and maintain detailed 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)

Ensure designs meet performance, durability, and manufacturability requirements

Collaborate with electrical, manufacturing, and supply chain teams for system integration

Support prototype builds, mechanical testing, validation, and issue resolution

Participate in supplier sourcing, evaluation, and technical coordination

Support certification and compliance activities related to vehicle standards

Conduct root cause analysis and implement design improvements
QualificationsRequired
-
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

5+ years of experience in automotive, commercial vehicle, or mobility product development

Advanced proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks ; CATIA or NX a plus)

Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and assembly methods

Familiarity with GD&T and tolerance analysis

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Experience with electric vehicle systems or high-voltage components

Knowledge of vehicle integration and system packaging

Experience working with global suppliers

Background in new product development or startup environments
