Description:

Pay Rate: $68.75/hr

Duration: Based on current demand, requesting 3 months with the option to extend and/or convert to full-time employment based on business needs and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate across Honeywell Aerospace engineering teams to create solutions and systems that meet evolving customer needs
• Participate in product development and production support phases and act as a coach and mentor to less experienced engineers
• Participate in the evolving Technical Validation Group within the Engine and Power Systems organization
• Serve as a technical validator of aerospace engineering drawings, ensuring full definition and adherence to company and industry standards
• Review engineering drawings/models for correct usage of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to meet design intent
• Review engineering designs for proper use of model-based practices and standards
• Perform model validation
• Assess designs for manufacturability and cost

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in mechanical design with deep understanding of engineering drawings using ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Qualifications:

• Experience and understanding of gas turbine engine components
• Proven application of ASME drawing standards, including ASME Y14.5 GD&T
• Strong understanding of engineering drawing interpretation, preparation, and review
• Experience in detailed design phase
• Experience with legacy drawings and specifications
• Ability to act as a mentor and coach
• Ability to convey complex messages clearly based on audience
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong decision-making skills in complex situations
• Experience coordinating and leading small teams
