Mechanical Engineer

Overview:
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop mechanical systems for advanced machine tools, including machining centers, EDM equipment, and automation solutions. This role focuses on full-cycle design—from concept through release and support—working cross-functionally to deliver robust, manufacturable, and cost-effective products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design mechanical components, assemblies, and custom solutions for industrial machine systems
- Develop systems involving hydraulics/pneumatics, sheet metal, machined parts, fluid systems, and sensors
- Create and manage 3D CAD models and 2D drawings (SolidWorks, AutoCAD/Draftsight)
- Own engineering documentation: BOMs, drawings, and release packages
- Lead design reviews and collaborate with electrical, software, manufacturing, and service teams
- Validate designs through analysis, simulation, and physical testing
- Partner with suppliers for component selection, technical alignment, and cost optimization
- Support fabrication, assembly, and field troubleshooting
- Ensure designs meet performance, cost, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, ANSI, ISO, etc.)
- Contribute to continuous product improvement and innovation
Required Skills & Experience Technical:
- Strong 3D CAD and drafting skills (SolidWorks )
- Proficiency with GD&T and engineering drawings
- Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and serviceability
- Knowledge of mechanical components, system integration, and hardware selection
- Familiarity with FEA and design validation methods
- Understanding of relevant industry standards (OSHA, ANSI, CE, ISO, etc.)

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or
- Associate degree with 5+ years of relevant design engineering experience
Additional:
- Up to 5% travel (including occasional international)
