We are seeking a creative DesignEngineer Ito join our New Product Development team, where you will blend R&D, analysis, and hands-on prototyping to bringnew designsto life. This role is your gateway to mastering the product lifecycle, from 3D parametric modeling and rigorous testing to executing the engineering changes that drive our manufacturing. What You'll Get to Do:
- Design &Validate:Collaborate with Project Engineers to develop overhead door systems using Autodesk Inventor for 3D parametric modeling, while performing critical analyses (FEA, wind load) to ensure structural integrity.
- Bridge to Manufacturing:Master internal systems to edit BOMs and order parts, implementing designs into our ERP system via Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and developing engineering standards.
- Hands-On Innovation:Work with technicians to build and test prototypes,maintainingthe shop area andcontributing directly to new product ideas and installation instructions.
Required Skillsets:
- A Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering(or AS + 5 years exp) with strongproficiencyin 3D Solid Modeling and MS Office.
- Capabilities:A collaborative communicator who can independently prioritize tasks and is comfortable using hand/power tools to build what you design.
/Additional Qualifications:
- 3+ years in the field, specifically with ECOs, Autodesk Inventor, or the door/building products industry.
- A track recorddesigning sheet metal, aluminum extrusions, or injection molded components using modern fabrication methods.
