Mechanical Engineer\n\nLocation: Chelsea, London\n Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off - Days Only (7am-7pm)\n Employment Type: Permanent\n Salary: £41,000 - £42,000\n\nAbout the Role\n\nA fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Mechanical Engineer to join a prestigious commercial site located in Chelsea. Working on a 4 on 4 off days-only shift, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical maintenance, ensuring building systems operate efficiently, safely, and to the highest standard. This is a hands-on role within a professional engineering team, offering stability, excellent working conditions, and long-term career prospects.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nCarry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on all mechanical plant, including AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors, valves, and HVAC equipment.\n\nRespond to and resolve reactive maintenance tasks and mechanical faults quickly and effectively.\n\nSupport electrical and fabric tasks when required as part of a multi-skilled engineering team.\n\nEnsure all works are completed in line with health & safety regulations, site procedures, and statutory compliance requirements.\n\nAssist with record-keeping, asset updates, and logging work via the site CAFM system.\n\nLiaise with the client and onsite team to maintain strong working relationships and excellent levels of service.\n\nMonitor and adjust BMS systems where appropriate.\n\nSupport subcontractors attending site, ensuring permits, RAMS, and safe working practices are followed.\n\nContribute to continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance system performance and site reliability.\n\nSkills & Experience Required\n\nRecognised Mechanical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).\n\nStrong mechanical HVAC knowledge with hands-on experience in commercial building maintenance.\n\nExperience working on AHUs, FCUs, pumps, pressurisation units, fan motors, and general mechanical plant.\n\nBasic electrical fault-finding (desirable but not essential).\n\nExcellent communication skills with a professional, customer-facing approach.\n\nAbility to work independently and as part of a shift team.\n\nStrong understanding of health & safety and safe working practices.\n\nWhat's on Offer\n\n4 on 4 off days-only rota (no nights).\n\nOpportunity to work at a high-end, well-maintained commercial site in Chelsea.\n\nStrong support from an experienced engineering team and management.\n\nCareer development and training opportunities
