Job Description

Field Service Engineer – East of England\nPackaging / Industrial Machinery\n£35,000 + Bonus (OTE £42,000+) | Company Vehicle | Full Training\n\nWe are recruiting a Field Service Engineer on behalf of a well-established, market-leading UK supplier of industrial packaging machinery.\n\nThis opportunity is suitable for:\n• Experienced Field Service Engineers\n• Mechanical Engineers from maintenance, manufacturing or workshop backgrounds who want to move into a field-based service role\n\nNo previous field service experience is required - full product and systems training will be provided.\n\nThe Role\n\n• Service, maintain and repair industrial packaging machinery at customer sites\n• Planned preventative maintenance and breakdown response\n• Assist with machinery installations and commissioning\n• Provide basic operator training to customers\n• Complete service documentation and reports\n• Build strong working relationships with customers\n• Home-based role covering the East of England\n\nThe Ideal Candidate\n\n• Mechanical engineering background (electrical knowledge advantageous)\n• Experience working with machinery in a manufacturing or industrial environment\n• Logical fault-finding and problem-solving skills\n• Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload\n• Professional, reliable and customer-focused\n• Willing to travel within the region\n\nQualifications / Experience\n\n• Mechanical Engineering qualification (C&G, NVQ, ONC or equivalent) \n• Hands-on engineering experience essential\n• Full UK driving licence required\n\nPackage\n\n• £35,000 basic salary\n• Annual regional bonus scheme – realistic OTE £42,000+\n• Company vehicle\n• Pension scheme\n• Private healthcare\n• Life assurance\n• 25 days holiday + bank holidays\n• Full product training and ongoing technical support\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an engineer seeking a long-term role offering variety, autonomy and progression into field service.\n\nTo apply:\nPlease submit your CV for a confidential discussion
