Job Summary

Responsible for ensuring all equipment complies with safety, environmental and other regulatory laws. Track engineering expense and capital budgeting compliance. Assist in ensuring the proper design, installation, modification, and maintainability of new and existing plant equipment, buildings and facilities. Assist engineering and maintenance to provide the necessary support to the production organization in order to promote the production of the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost. Perform other duties as needed.

Primary Duties

  • Ensure materials and parts are in stock and arrive in timely manner; ensure maintenance of main production supply equipment (boilers etc) an all items OEMs and technical support are in stock; update PNIDs, suply pipelines – steam air water treatment process; oversee permitting discharge and review causes; work with additional engineers (downstream engineers); manage spare parts.
  • Work with utility technicians and team leaders and respond to requests accordingly; train technicians on operations and troubleshooting; maintain maintenance of measuring and weighing equipment; assist with the improvement of utility equipment,
  • Oversee vendor management; prepare forms to submit to subcontractors to begin bidding process; start investment review process to HQ and prepare specific documentation needed; prepare cost analysis; summarize findings from vendors with recommendations
  • Responsible for cross check and balance; purchase materials and get bids to show competitive pricing and rationalize in cost; prepare summary report of findings and submit to general managers; keep up-to-date specs of plant and review frequently; manage investment activity and budget associated with equipment.
  • Manage holiday shutdowns; oversee process as performed by technicians and team leaders; ensure successful restart of operations is completed in a timely manner; ensure pressure, temperature, and supply are received by downstream engineers; minimize fluctuations.
  • Document and oversee equipment process review; manage budget and costs of projects.
  • Maintain plant building/facility and environment equipment.
  • Manage energy consumption.
  • Manage KPI performance for the departments and equipment disposals.

Minimum Education & Experience

Education: 4-year college degree

Degree: Mechanical Engineering

Experience: Years: 1 to 3 years

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of SAP, AutoCAD, international purchasing, standardized BOLs, PROs and shipment categories, proficient in MS Office Suite, Fluid Dynamics, Thermal Dynamics, piping, welding and standard mechanical piping, ability to adapt to changing circumstances.

Physical Requirements: Moderate Work: Occasionally working in difficult position and/or with physical demands such as continuously lifting/moving materials from 25 to 50 pounds and occasionally lifting/moving materials greater than 50 pounds.
