Job Duties:
- Design welding fixtures, tooling, and robotic cell layouts for automated systems
- Create manufacturing-ready drawings, BOMs, and detailed SolidWorks models (GD&T required)
- Perform structural validation using FEA to guide smart design decisions
- Integrate pneumatic and low-voltage electrical subsystems into mechanical assemblies
- Prototype, build, validate, and support onsite installations
- Drive continuous improvement through engineering change requests and field feedback
- Partner with manufacturing and supply chain to improve cost, scalability, and deployment efficiency
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- 2–6+ years of machine design experience in automation or robotics
- Strong SolidWorks skills (including Simulation/FEA)
- Experience with fixture design, robotic cells, and production automation hardware
- Hands-on mindset — comfortable on the shop floor
- Understanding of machine safety and mechanical risk reduction
- Experience working within PDM/PLM systems
