We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of mechanical systems for electronic products. This role is ideal for a early-career engineer with a strong interest in electronics packaging, thermal management, and 3D CAD modeling. You will support Integrated Product Teams in the design, analysis, manufacture and test of digital and RF/analog and mixed electronics hardware at all levels of integration (chip, component, printed circuit board, module/chassis, system) across a multitude of platforms/domains (space, land, sea, air, cyber).

You will work closely with senior engineers to help design enclosures, assemblies, and components, with an emphasis on SolidWorks design, mechanical integration with PCBs, and thermal considerations. This is a hands-on, learning-focused role with opportunities to grow technical and product development skills in a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Designing mechanical parts and enclosures for electronic assemblies using SolidWorks

· Create and revise 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs.

· Support thermal and structural evaluations through simulation or testing

· Work with electrical engineers to support PCB layout and mechanical fit

· Help prepare prototypes and participate in design reviews and product testing

· Learn and apply best practices in electronics packaging, manufacturability, and material selection

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

· 1–5 years of relevant experience (internships, co-ops, or academic projects related to electronics or mechanical design are a plus)

· Working knowledge of SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software

· Basic understanding of thermal principles and heat management in electronic systems

· Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn from feedback

· Effective written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to work well in a team and follow project guidance from senior staff

· Clearance Requirement: This position requires a Secret security clearance.

(but not required):

· Exposure to thermal or FEA tools (e.g., Ansys, FloTHERM, COMSOL)

· Injection molded part design experience.

· Experience with prototyping, 3D printing, or lab testing

· Familiarity with common fabrication processes: injection molding, sheet metal, machining.

· Understanding of electronics packaging or PCB integration
