For this particular role, I am working alongside an international MEP consultancy firm with an excellent global reputation for their work on a number of the most exciting projects in the industry. They are also highly reputable for maintaining a strong and enjoyable work culture for their employees, stemming from their commitment to hiring and promoting from within. This is viewed as key for organic growth.


They are currently looking to make their next strategic hire and bring in a junior mechanical engineer to join the team in their Chicago office. This hire will be given the unique opportunity to take on immediate responsibility and also benefit from the in-house growth pathway mentioned above, as well as as onboarding lunch with the principals of the firm!


Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
  • Entry-level to early-career professional with 0–5 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification but not mandatory
  • LEED accreditation considered an asset
  • Working knowledge of Revit MEP and AutoCAD
  • Understanding of building systems, including plumbing and fire protection design
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • or co-op experience with an MEP consulting firm is a plus
