We are looking for an experienced mechanical engineer with knowledge of product design and qualification.
\n
\n
Pay range is $70,000-$100,000 (based on skills/knowledge/experience).
\n
\n
Location: Carson, CA (onsite)
\n
\n
\n
Roles and responsibilities are as following:
\n
- Design residential and commercial luminaires from concept to manufacturing
\n
- Pursue project activities and ensure on-time completion of tasks
\n
- Qualify the products through the certification processes
\n
- Work across sourcing, production, and quality departments to deliver products
\n
- Identify product issues, root-cause, and drive towards a solution
\n
\n
Requirements
\n
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
\n
- Minimum 1 years of experience in design and product development; experience in consumer electronics is a plus.
\n
- Professional with Solidworks or Creo
\n
- Hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical products, assembly, and qualification testing
\n
- Experience with DFM and professional with GD&T
\n
- Familiar with thermal analysis and testing in electronic systems
\n
- Familiar with material properties from plastics to Aluminum and other metals.
\n
- Knowledge of injection molding, die-casting, extrusion, and sheet metal processes
\n
- Familiar with the certification process for codes such as NEC or building codes
\n
- Excellent communication skills
