We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with hands-on experience supporting production transition projects and working with electromechanical assemblies. The ideal candidate will have strong competency in process documentation, factory test equipment, and compliance standards such as CSA/UL certifications. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transition of products from development into full-scale manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support production transition activities from engineering to manufacturing.
- Work with electromechanical assemblies, supporting design updates, improvements, and manufacturability.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including assembly work instructions, test procedures, and process flow diagrams.
- Assist in the setup, maintenance, and validation of basic functional and safety test equipment used in factory environments.
- Ensure products meet CSA, UL, and other regulatory certification requirements.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and support corrective actions for production issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain.
- Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience with production transition projects.
- Strong understanding of electromechanical systems and assemblies.
- Hands-on experience creating process documentation and manufacturing work instructions.
- Knowledge of factory test equipment, functional tests, and safety testing.
- Familiarity with CSA/UL standards and product certification processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills.
Qualifications
- Experience in a high-volume or industrial manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to product lifecycle management (PLM) and engineering change processes.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
