Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer | Federal Project | Chantilly, VA


Our client, a leading multidisciplinary engineering firm with a strong track record delivering innovative solutions across mission-critical, government, and commercial projects, has just signed a major new federal program. They are now looking to add a Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer to their Specialized Design team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support/lead HVAC and mechanical design across cradle-to-grave engineering projects
  • Perform load calculations, system sizing, layouts, and equipment selections
  • Create CAD drawings and technical documentation
  • Conduct site surveys and support construction activities (RFIs, submittals, punch lists)
  • Research and integrate the latest HVAC technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-discipline teams, clients, contractors, and vendors


What We’re Looking For:

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 4+ years of design engineering experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/SolidWorks
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, piping, and mechanical utility systems
  • Experience applying mechanical/plumbing/fire code & industry standards
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • EIT certification (required); PE license is a plus
