GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Mechanical engineer capable of executing mechanical design, analysis, product definition, and sustaining engineering tasks.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - include the following (other duties may be assigned):

• Development of product designs and associated definition (i.e., drawings, BOM) in collaboration with other departments (i.e., Operations/producibility).
• Performance of mechanical engineering analysis tasks as required.
• Presentation of work for independent peer review. Design reviews.
• Follow launch of new product designs through initial build and test.
• Support Operations/Quality in sustainment activities as required (i.e., MRB, ECN).
• Support Sales as required (i.e., application engineering, preliminary design).

Requirements:

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Proficient in mechanical engineering first principles, calculations, and select design/analysis tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS).
• Proficient in product definition and maintenance (CAD, BOMs, ERP, ECN)
• Good organizational skills.
• Strong professional writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
