Job DescriptionMechanical Engineer  - Greenwich – Commercial Buildings – Permanent or Self Employed (CIS) -  up to £49,000 or up to £24 an hour cis 

Exciting opportunity to work for an established FM Property company based in London. CBW are currently recruiting for a mechanical engineer to cover a few commercial buildings around the Greenwich/ Blackwall tunnel area. The successful candidate will be a fully qualified mechanical engineer with a proven track record in commercial/property building maintenance. He or she will be required to carry out M&E/Fabric planned and reactive maintenance across a few sites with their own van or car or foot mobile

Hours of work & Package 

\n
• Monday to Thursday - 07:30 - 17:00

\n

• Fridays - 07:30 - 16:00 

\n

• £160 a month travel allowance 

\n

• Call out rotor 1 in 4/5 (£50 a week stand by charge for being on call, £100 call out for each call out and double pay for hours spent on call out door to door.

Duties and responsibilities

\n
• Draining down vessels

\n

• Draining down air dirt separators

\n

• Swimming pool testing & carrying out backwashes

\n

• Repairing Toilets and Sinks 

\n

• Unblocking Toilets 

\n

• Water Hygiene maintenance and inspections

\n

• Pipework inspections and repairs

\n

• Minor installation works 

\n

• Maintenance of pumps, expansions vessels, PRVs and TMVs

\n

• Flexible in helping other trades on site 

\n

• Planned and reactive works

\n

• Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)

\n

• General building fabric

\n

• Escort specialist subcontractors

\n

Requirements

\n
• Plumbing qualified level 2 minimum

\n

• A proven track record in commercial or property maintenance

\n

• Installation experience

\n

• Excellent customer service skills

\n

• Honest, hard-working and reliable

\n
