Mechanical Engineer – MEP | Baltimore, MD

Mechanical Systems Design (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection)

We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer with experience in the MEP industry to join our growing team in Baltimore, MD. This role plays a critical part in designing and delivering innovative, high-quality mechanical systems for commercial, institutional, and healthcare facilities.

What You’ll Do

• Design mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, process piping, fire protection, and medical gases

• Prepare drawings, reports, specifications, and cost estimates

• Conduct field surveys, energy audits, lifecycle cost analyses, and energy modeling

• Use tools like Revit/BIM, CADD, Trane/TRACE, Carrier HAP, and MS Office

• Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and provide construction phase support

• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and industry best practices

• Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive, high-quality service

What You Bring

Required:

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for buildings

• Strong knowledge of building codes, HVAC design, and MEP systems

• Proficiency with design software and modeling tools (Revit, TRACE, HAP, etc.)

• Excellent communication and project coordination skills

• EIT certification

• PE licensure or intent to obtain within 12 months

• LEED AP or equivalent
