Mechanical Engineer

Our client close to Matlock are on the lookout for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Mechanical Technician / Mechanical Fitter / Contract Engineer / Multiskilled engineer to join thier team.



Salary: £30 - £35 per hour



Working hours: 12hr days & nights shift pattern



Responsibilities:



* Maintaining and repairing mechanical systems and equipment



* Ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and safely.



* Diagnosing faults, performing routine maintenance, and implementing preventative measures to minimise downtime.



* This is a hands-on role that requires a proactive approach and a keen eye for detail.



Skills and experience:



* A recognised mechanical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds)



* Proven experience in a maintenance mechanical role



* Experience in a medium to heavy engineering enviroment



* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills



* Ability to work independently and as part of a team



* Excellent communication skills and a commitment to health and safety standards
