ROLE – Mechanical Engineer



LOCATION - Farnborough



TERM - Permanent



SALARY- £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience



My client designs and manufactures bespoke products for a number of industries. They are looking to take on a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Farnborough on a permanent basis. The role will involve a mix of CAD and hands-on engineering in the workshop.



The Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:



Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar

Eager to work in a hands-on and varied Engineering role

Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials – sheet metal, plastics, injection moulding, machining etc

Be proficient using 3D CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks etc.

Interested in building high precision electromechanical products

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

Proficient using MS Office

Excellent organisational skills and time management skills

Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team

A background in Manufacture would be beneficial

Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Team player

Eager to train and develop their career in Engineering/Manufacture 



The Mechanical Engineer role will involve:



Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings

Producing fabrication drawings to bespoke requirements

Communicating directly with clients to determine requirements

Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical assembly of a variety of products and equipment

Opportunities to train in different areas of Engineering

Working to procedures and instructions

Testing and fault-finding

Working on the factory floor

Communicating with different departments to resolve technical issues
