Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our client's team in the Camden, NC area. This position plays a key role in the design, development, and improvement of processes/machines/products. The ideal candidate is proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD, and brings working knowledge of ASME codes and standards to ensure safe, efficient, and code-compliant designs.

Responsibilities:

• Design and model mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
• Interpret and apply ASME codes, particularly related to pressure vessels, piping, and structural elements
• Create detailed fabrication and assembly drawings
• Work cross-functionally with manufacturing, procurement, and quality teams to support production and resolve technical challenges
• Participate in design reviews, engineering change processes, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Conduct stress analysis, material selection, and tolerance studies as required
• Prepare technical documentation and reports

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Manufacturing experience – Company is open to varying levels
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD is required
• Familiarity with ASME codes and standards
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
