Mechanical & Electrical Project Manager

We are now seeking an experienced Mechanical & Electrical Project Manager to join our team and take ownership of generating, managing, and delivering a wide range of projects. This is a pivotal role, offering the opportunity to lead high-profile projects while ensuring they meet our rigorous standards for quality, safety, and client satisfaction.



The Role



As a Project Manager at Smart, you will:



Take full accountability for the planning, delivery, and financial performance of projects across the M&E environment.



Manage budgets and ensure projects meet commercial objectives and profit margins.



Lead and inspire your project team to deliver safely, on time, and within budget.



Act as a trusted advisor to clients, building long-term relationships and identifying new opportunities.



Oversee all aspects of project management, from scoping and tendering to handover and closeout.



Ensure compliance with QHSE, statutory regulations, and internal standards.

Key Responsibilities



Generate and deliver a strong project pipeline from existing client portfolios.



Manage labour, contractors, and resources to deliver projects effectively.



Work closely with developers, designers, and sub-contractors to define project scopes.



Oversee tenders, bids, and proposals, ensuring full auditability and compliance.



Take responsibility for P&L performance across multiple projects.



Build strong client relationships and leverage opportunities for business growth.



Ensure all health, safety, and compliance standards are consistently met.



Provide clear reporting to senior management on project progress, risks, and financials.

What We’re Looking For



Essential:



Minimum of 2 A-Levels (or equivalent).



2–5 years’ experience in a Project Management role.



HNC (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or a related field ().



At least 3 years as a lead engineer on commercial/corporate projects.



Professional membership/accreditation (e.g., MIET, CIBSE).
