Our firm is seeking a highly organized and detailed oriented mechanical designer responsible for accurately preparing construction documents under the supervision of a Mechanical Engineer. Duties include conducting code research, coordinating with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines, preparing construction drawings and specifications, and construction support services. A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering is but not required. The position requires proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
This is a full-time position.

Essential Functions:
- Design for federal, commercial, industrial, and/or infrastructure projects.
- Prepare and HVAC and plumbing construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Construction support services (review equipment/material submittals, respond to contractor requests for information).
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and plumbing code.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in an agile work environment with personnel delivering from multiple locations or remotely.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Client (internal and external) service focus.
- Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in commercial HVAC and plumbing design.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Engineer in training certificate – .
- Valid Driver’s License and Evidence of Insurability.
