Step into the role of a Mechanical Design Specialist where you will collaborate with the Engineering Manager and a dynamic team to craft exceptional mechanical designs. Your contributions will span both existing and upcoming products. You will closely align with your supervisor to design innovative dehumidification systems in an evolving environment. Key Duties:

• Devise tailored dehumidification systems using bespoke in-house software, vendor tools, and SolidWorks.
  • Generate precise production drawings.
  • Host design review sessions with the manufacturing team before finalizing designs.
  • Manage and update project documentation and Bills of Materials.
• Assemble comprehensive submittal packages for ultimate customer validation.
  • Utilize Adobe Pro PDF for document creation.
• Engage in Research & Development and New Product Development initiatives.
• Develop procedural documentation and production norms.
• Identify and capture ongoing improvement opportunities to shape future action plans.
• Provide field service support, responding to technical inquiries with expertise.

Essential Qualifications:

• Obtain a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Accumulate over 5 years of direct experience in mechanical engineering roles.
• Possess expert-level skills in SolidWorks.
• Proficient in designing metal parts and structures.
• Have an in-depth understanding of HVAC or refrigeration systems.
• Exhibit strong technical writing capabilities.
• Embodies self-initiative and a strong teamwork ethic with the acumen for independent working.
• Passionate about achieving quality work with attention to detail.
• Demonstrate the ability to think independently, innovate, and navigate complex engineering challenges.
• Handle stress and manage peak workloads effectively.
• Foster a positive and supportive work environment.

Desired Skills and Background:

• Over 3 years of involvement in HVAC or Refrigeration system designs.
• Extensive experience crafting metal assemblies and structures.
• Proficient understanding of thermodynamics and psychrometrics.
• Skilled in load calculation software like FEA and CFD.
• Experience with refrigeration system conceptualization.
• Capable of autonomous HVAC system design calculations, including duct and pipe dimensions.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience in LEAN methodologies and hands-on problem solving.

This is a full-time role with years of experience spanning 5-10 years, offering a salary commensurate with expertise. Additional perks include 401K matching, health insurance, PTO, professional development support, team-building activities, and a condensed work week from Monday through Thursday, totaling 40 hours, with occasional overtime and minimal travel involved.
