We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and hands-on experience in 2D/3D modeling, CAD design, and industry code compliance. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Autodesk Inventor, detailed mechanical design, and the application of ASME codes.
- Develop, model, and revise mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using Autodesk Inventor and other CAD tools.
- Produce high-quality 2D drawings and 3D models for manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly.
- Apply relevant ASME codes and standards (e.g., ASME VIII, ASME B31.3) to ensure compliance in all designs.
- Perform engineering calculations, tolerance analyses, and design validation to ensure performance, reliability, and safety.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and project engineering to refine designs and resolve technical issues.
- Prepare documentation, BOMs, and design packages for production and customer review.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all designs meet internal standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Design Engineer, Project Engineer, or Mechanical Engineer in a manufacturing, industrial, or equipment-focused environment.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor; experience with other CAD platforms is required.
- Knowledge of ASME codes, pressure component design, and industry standards.
- 3+ years of experience with compression equipment, pressure vessels, or rotating machinery
- Solid understanding of mechanical design fundamentals, materials, GD&T, and fabrication processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
